What factors were important to you when deciding on a school for your child?
Was it school reputation? Student wellbeing? The sense of community? Year 12 results?
Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) – the peak body representing Queensland’s independent schooling sector – has just launched its latest What Parents Want survey – and would like to hear from as many independent school parents as possible.
This anonymous survey is open to all independent school parents.
Parents of Prep and Year 7 students – or parents of any students who have recently joined an independent school in Queensland – are particularly encouraged to apply.
The survey will remain open until 17 September 2021. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

What Parents Want – An Independent Schools Queensland Survey is the longest-running survey in the country exploring why parents choose independent schools.
The 2021 survey, which opened in Term 3, is the fifth time the survey has been conducted.
The information you provide will enable Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ) – and your school – to gather information regarding the decision-making processes that parents undertake when selecting an independent school, as well as the reasons leading to their final choice, which assists schools with their planning.
Find the survey on this page of the ISQ website.
